Installation Instructions:

• Ensure the pool salt chlorinator is compatible with your pool equipment.
• Prepare the return pipe plumbing by following the manufacturer’s recommended instructions.
• Install the flow switch housing, if applicable.
• Connect the salt cell by tightening the unions.
• Mount the control panel to a nearby wall, connect it to power, and link the flow switch and salt cell cables.

The Hayward W3AQ-TROL-RJ-TL AquaTrol Salt Chlorinator is designed for above ground pools up to 18,000 gallons. It installs vertically directly below your existing return jet.

The Hayward AquaTrol RJ-TL Salt Chlorinator for Above Ground Pools automatically generates pure chlorine from the salt water that passes through the plates inside the cell. With a salt chlorinator, you are still sanitizing with chlorine but it is a more pure form of chlorine. This process of salt chlorination provides soft and silky smooth feeling swimming pool water. Using the AquaTrol RJ Salt Chlorinator provides sanitized safe water and a more comfortable swimming experience.

The Hayward AquaTrol RJ salt cell installs vertically directly below the return jet using the right-angle cell mounting adapter. The lower end of the cell attaches using 2″ rigid PVC pipe or 1-1/2″ – 1-1/4″ flexible hose. The Hayward AquaTrol control box has a digital interface with seven diagnostic indicators and an easy-to-read salt display. It features Power, Generating, Super Chlorinate, No Flow, Test Salt Level, High Salt, and Inspect Cell options for understandable updates and evaluations. The control box also features a twist-lock type plug in cord and runs on 120V/15A for efficient operation. With a 24-hour timer that controls pump filtration in 15 minute segments, AquaTrol promises automated convenience for hassle-free pool care.

The Hayward AquaTrol RJ comes with everything needed for installation, including the control box, salt cell, union connections and adapters for return jet mounting.
